Blackberry Pie
4 cups berries
3/4 to 1 cup sugar
2 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. minute topioca
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tbsp. butter
Sprinkle these ingredients over the berries and stir them gently until they are well blended. Pour them into pie crust. Dot them with butter, cover with top crust. Make several slits with knife to permit steam to escape, or cover with lattice and glaze top. Bake the pie in hot oven 450 F. for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 F. Bake pie about 40 minutes.
