BANANA NUT BREAD
1 cup light brown sugar
2 cup sifted flour
1/2 cup butter or margarine
3 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1-1/2 cup mashed bananas
1 cup chopped nuts
1 T. lemon juice
Cream sugar with butter. Add eggs, one at a time, beating hard after each addition. Stir in bananas and lemon juice. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt and add to first mixture. Mix quickly. Stir in nuts. Pour into greased 9” x 5” x 3” loaf pan. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.
