Orange Blossom Rolls

 

5-1/2 - 6-1/2 c. unsifted flour

3/4 c. sugar

1 tsp. salt

3 pkgs. yeast

1/2 c. margarine, softened

1 c. very warm tap water

3 eggs

melted margarine

In a large bowl mix 1-1/4 c. flour, sugar, salt and yeast. Add margarine. Add water to dry ingredients and beat 2 minutes at medium speed of electric mixer. Add eggs and 1/4 c. flour. Beat at high speed 2 minutes. Stir in additional flour to make a soft dough. Turn out onto lightly floured board; knead until smooth and elastic, about 8-10 minutes.

Divide dough into 3 equal pieces. Divide 1 piece into 8 equal pieces. Form each piece into a ball, dip into melted margarine and coat with 1/3 of prepared Orange Sugar. Place in a greased 8” round pan. Cover and let rise in warm place until doubled in bulk. Complete the other two pieces in a similar manner. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until done. Remove from pans and cool on rack.

ORANGE SUGAR: 1 c. sugar and 1/4 c. grated orange peel.
