Barbecue Steakers

 

1-1/2 lbs. ground beef

2 tbsp. fat

1/2 cup ketchup

2 tbsp. brown sugar

2 tsp. worcestershire sauce

1 tbsp. vinegar

2 tsp. dry or prepared mustard

1/2 tsp. salt

dash of pepper

Shape beef into 6 patties. Saute in hot fat until well browned on all sides. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over patties. Continue cooking over medium heat basting frequently with sauce for 15 minutes. Serves 4-6.
