Easy Economical Eggless Cookies
2-1/2 cup sifted all-purpose flour
1 cup brown sugar firmly packed
1 cup shortening
1/4 cup fresh milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Cream shortening well. Gradually add sugar and cream until light and fluffy. Add flour alternately with milk. Add vanilla. Chill the dough for several hours. Roll out on floured board to about 1/4” thickness. Cut with cookie cutter. Place on greased cookie sheet. Bake in moderately hot oven, 400 F. Time: 10—15 minutes. Makes 3 dozen 2” cookies.
