Tamale Casserole

 

Fry in 4 tbsp. salad oil:

2 large onions (chopped)

2 cloves garlic (chopped an crushed)

Add: 1-1/2 lbs. ground beef

In large casserole add:

1 c. whole kernel corn

1 c. tomato puree

1 can tomatoes (#303)

2 tbsp. Chili powder

1-1/2 tsp. salt (pepper to taste)

Add 2 cans of canned tamale cut into 1 inch pieces. Pour the meat mixture into the casserole. Stir lightly and bake for 1 hour at 350°F.
