SNICKER DOODLES COOKIES

1 cup shortening

1-1/2 cups sugar

2 eggs

2-1/2 cups sifted flour

1 tsp. soda

2 tsp. cream of tartar

1/2 tsp. salt

4 tbsp. sugar

2 tsp. cinnamon

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Shape into tiny balls of the size of walnuts. Roll into mixture of sugar and cinnamon. Bake 15-20 minutes in 375 degrees until lightly brown, but still soft.
