Mock Sea Scallops

 

Filet of Haddock (or white fish of your choice)

2 cups milk

1 cup vegetable cooking oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Bread crumbs

Cut fish into one-inch cubes. Cover with milk and let stand for about one-half hour or more. Drain off milk, let stand in oil about 15 minutes. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Roll in crumbs. Bake for about 8 minutes in a hot oven. Serve with tartar sauce.
