GUAVA MUFFINS

2 cups all purpose flour - sifted

1 tsp. salt

1 tsp. baking soda

2 tsp. baking powder

1/4 cup coffee

1/2 cup shortening

1 cup sugar

3 eggs

1/2 cup guava pulp

1/2 cup milk

Sift together flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder. Cream together the shortening, sugar and eggs. Then add sifted dry ingredient alternately with liquid to the shortening mixture. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes. Makes 18 muffins.

Add 1/2 cup chopped nuts or raisins if desired.
